GST Cluster Migration Process and Admission Guidelines for 2023-24 Academic Year

The GST cluster universities have announced that all ‘Stop Migration’ processes for the 2023-24 academic year must be completed by June 28, 3 PM. The second phase of initial admissions will begin on Wednesday, June 26. This information is provided on the GST admission website.

Key Points from the Notice:

  1. Migration Stop Deadline:
  • All types of ‘Migration Stop’ must be completed by June 28, 3 PM.
  1. Initial Admission Process:
  • Even after being selected for initial admission in any department of a preferred university, if the initial admission process is not completed, the applicant will not be considered for admission to any GST cluster university in the future, including quota admissions.
  • If the initial admission fee of 5,000 BDT is paid online but the required documents are not submitted within the specified time, the admission will be canceled and the applicant will not be considered for admission to any GST university.
  • If an applicant cancels their initial admission, they will not have any opportunity for admission to any GST university in the future.
  1. Automated Migration Process:
  • Migration to departments within the affiliated universities based on merit and preference will be completed automatically.
  • If ‘Stop All Migration’ is completed, the applicant will not have the opportunity to be admitted to any other university or department included in their preferences, except for the currently admitted department.
  • If ‘Stop University Migration’ is completed, the applicant will not be able to be admitted to any other university except the currently admitted university. However, there will still be opportunities for migration to a more preferred department within the same university.
  1. Second Phase of Initial Admission:
  • The second phase of the initial admission process must be completed between June 26 and June 28 through the GST website (https://gstadmission.ac.bd/).
  • Initial admission and fee payment will continue from June 26, 12 PM to June 28, 10 AM.
  • Original documents must be submitted between June 27, 10 AM and June 28, 3 PM.
  1. Document Submission:
  • The original mark sheets of SSC and HSC/equivalent examinations must be submitted to the initially admitted university.
  • If the initial admission process has already been completed and the student is migrated to another GST university, no additional action is required. The original documents will remain at the initially admitted university.

Additional Information:

  • Detailed information regarding the admission procedure and the necessary steps to complete the online initial admission can be found in the GST Admission System and Online Admission Guideline on the GST website.

This structured approach ensures a smooth and transparent admission process for students while maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the GST cluster university system.
