Private Medical College Admission 2024: SMS Date for Students Changed

Admission to Private Medical Colleges: SMS Date for Students Changed

The application period for new local students seeking admission to private medical colleges in the country has concluded. A total of 963 students have applied for admission. Starting June 23, SMS notifications will be sent to the students who are finally selected for admission.

This information was disclosed in a recent notice signed by Professor Dr. Mahiuddin Matubber, Director of Medical Education at the Directorate General of Health Services.

The notice stated that applications for self-funded MBBS course admissions in private medical colleges have been received online through Teletalk Bangladesh Ltd. Due to unavoidable reasons, SMS notifications for the primary selection and confirmation of selected students will now be sent in late June.

Previously, another notice from the Directorate General of Health Services indicated that SMS notifications for selected students would begin on June 13, with admission confirmations starting from June 14 and continuing until June 24. Final admissions were to start from June 27 and end on July 8. However, due to technical issues, these dates are subject to change.

It has been reported that 1,404 students, both domestic and international, have applied for admission to private medical colleges, with 963 of them being local students. Initially, SMS notifications for selected students began on June 13.
